Timeless Classic Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Are you a classical fan? Maybe Classic music you have as your little secret on your playlist? What about classic shows or cartoons? I go first I grew up in the 90s so my favorite cartoons was the Rugrats and Kevin and Kel (any 90s babies in the house?) and oh don’t tell nobody but Happy Days was the jam! If you had parents like mine that was strict on what you watched and thought old school shows will be better for you because their “cleaner” and oh my favorite “more suitable for kids” then yeah you might know this show. I’ll even you a hint its a 70s show, yup and I still watch it every now and then. Hey, hey don’t you judge this is a no judge zone here 😂.
Any who, now that I just aged myself (deep sighs) lets get to the smoothie now shall we? What do you think? Hmm👂, I agree. There somewhere I was actually going with all that, this is your CLASSIC Strawberry Banana Smoothie with a hint of peanut butter goodness, yeah don’t think I was going to forget that. This smoothie brings back so many memories uhhh the good ole days (kiddie days). I don’t know if your mama ever made you this growing up, 👂yeah me either but but we going to pretend here OK just “follow the leader”. It might not have been that far back that I had a Strawberry Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie but its when early 00’s when smoothies just started to get poppin’ and everybody was trying to watch their figure (Weight Watchers). When smoothies started to become meal replacements and the only smoothies that were really popular were fruit ones. Sorry to the Generation Alpha babes, where nutrient really became NUTRIENT, we Generation Y&Z knew really the yummies. If you weren’t into fitness or a Body Builder this was healthy to us.

Easy Swaps and Add-Ins
Why you want to swap anything huh is my smoothie not good enough for you?! LOL (laughing out loud). Nah I get it we all got our own taste buds so imma help you out the best I can.
Swaps
Swap peanut butter powder: regular peanut butter or fresh peanuts
Swap 2% Milk: For all whole milk that’s right get that wholeness in or nut milks
Swap strawberry fruit spread: Its not necessary but makes the strawberry flavor project more because I don’t know about you but strawberries ain’t what they use to be so this is more concentrated or use strawberry jelly/jam
Add-Ins
Add raspberries: For more complex berry taste
Add beets: Now don’t get carried away here but if you want to up the nutritional value then this a good way to go, a little goes a long way and to lessen the earthy flavor you can stream it then cool it before using a half one will be good enough
Add protein powder: For a boost of more protein then just the Greek yogurt and to use as a meal replacement or post workout drink
Common Questions:
-
Honestly because I had it and secondly because I know bananas ca be fatten if not in a balance diet then this a great way to hahve “your cake and eat it too”
-
Umm, technically no you can’t because I don’t know if you want kiwi flavored yogurt in here but you can use strawberry, vanilla or want to get fancy put coffee yogurt in. Now as of Greek yogurt vs regular yogurt yes you can but it will lessen the nutritional value that you get from Greek yogurt such as protein and probiotics
