This juice is a great pre-workout drink if you want to get the sweat glands going you won’t need any help with this one. I love everything spicy well not cereal let’s not get carried away here…. honestly I feel like a giving you a little taste of who I am through this juice recipe here (hey nice to meet you name is Jonika and yours…..) You might not be into much spice/heat like I am but if your into working out, juice shots for their immense benefits in just a small portion then this will work perfectly for you. And as a girly on her health journey trying to get the metabolism pumping (pushing mid 30s) here The Zinger is perfect for doing that. The Zinger: Spicy-Sweet Juice to Fire Up Your Metabolism

I call this a juice even though no juicer was involved—it’s smooth, sippable, and perfect through a straw! Want it thinner? Run it through a nut bag. But me? I’m keeping all that fiber for a more filling, nutrient-packed boost. However you like it, The Zinger is here to spice up your day!

The “Zinger” Juice – Spicy & Beneficial!

You might be shocked to know that this juice isn’t just spicy but actually very beneficial health wise. Am not just trying to get you to sweat Sis just for the sake of it or am I j.k. (just kidding). As I have mentioned before this is perfect to help you with metabolism as well (drum-roll please)….. high in antioxidants, vitamins and fiber. So Ha take that I kid I kid. But honestly taking this a few times a week can do tremendous wonders on top of other healthy habits.

Easy Swaps and Add-Ins

Ok so in this recipe I know there are a lot of ingredients that aren’t so widely available as a New Yorker there almost everything at my finger tips but I completely understand that is not everyone. Just below I gave you some options to help you out. Also you can swap the maple syrup for agave or another sweetener if you so please to.

Swaps

  • Swap ancho chili: Use fresh or dried chili or jalapeño but if using fresh I would say stick to just a 1/4 amount of the pepper because they tend to be hotter and please I beg you remove the seeds

  • Swap canned pineapple: Use fresh pineapple make sure they are ripe or they will be very tart and instead add to the spiciness of the drink being totally unpleasant and add 1/4 cup water or pineapple juice

  • Swap white strawberries: if you can’t find them just use regular strawberries they work just fine

Add-Ins

  • Add apple juice: For more sweeter note just add 1/3 cup

Balancing The Heat

This juice is a (Bang in your face) kind of drink! Because of all the ginger, ancho chili and limes balancing it out with red grapes and pineapple adds a bit of sweetness. You can also add a little more maple syrup or switch for agave if you prefer a sweeter smoothie. But not too sweet missy or that negates it being healthy. You can also add a juice instead such as apple or grape.

  • Well, Hmm, Let me see sigh this pepper has a beautiful flavor almost chocolatey and as well this adds to the heat aspect of this juice
